The Tomlinson's meet the Duchess of York
On Friday, May 7, 2004, we attended a Weight Watcher's Super Meeting at the Renaissance Hotel in Hollywood, CA, featuring WW spokesperson Sarah Ferguson. They held a raffle for a few copies of her latest book (What I Know Now) and I won a copy. She signed them after the seminar and then posed with us for this picture. Both of us were delighted with the experience of meeting the Duchess as she is a warm and down-to-earth human being.
The Remodel Adventure Continues
David had been working for weeks on prepping the house for a paint job, scrapping the eaves and installing the window frames. We celebrated our first anniversary on Monday, August 16, 2004, and the weekend following David began painting the house Pacific Blue. I think it looks GRRRRREAT! Really looking forward to doing the trim in Ultra Pure White and the front steps in Carmine Red.

David got the whole front and the west side of the house painted and it looks terrific, don't you think? I can hardly wait for the re-fi to go through so we can finish the addition to the house and put flooring in it and the existing living room, paint the rest of it, and put in some basic landscaping in the backyard.
Once the outside is finished for the most part, then I want to start painting the insides! Weeeeeeeeeeeee the joys of home ownership.
